Metaktik joins the DEFINE Defence Accelerator programme

The DEFINE Accelerator is a three-month startup programme focused on scaling defence and security dual-use innovations. The spring 2026 kick-off took place in the City of Riihimäki, where the network's hub resides.

Coordinated by the city, the accelerator brings together the Finnish Defence Forces with leading research institutes, companies, and startups. The collaborative work focuses heavily on dual-use technologies and provides critical mentoring and connections for companies wishing to enter global security and defence markets.

Metaktik’s deep-tech lightweight antenna was represented at the event by Chief Technology Officer Ville Lundén. He states:

“Although light in weight, the newly launched metamaterial will have a heavy impact on how antenna stations can be concealed and operated from almost any surface in the future.”
